But even after pep rallies and a documentary, isn’t it time to honor Richardson in a more permanent way? Putting his name on the floor would be the final piece of lumber laid to bridge a gap that once distanced once of Arkansas’ and College Basketball’s most legendary coaches. Chris Bahn discussed it with us, along with Blake Eddins and John Engleman of KFSM Channel 5. Also, we talk about the long term affects of conference realignment and what it means for the top of college football and the BCS. Does Roger Goodell make too much money? Roddy White thinks so.

Paul Petrino stops by to talk about being the offensive coordinator once again for the Razorbacks. We discuss Kansas State’s AD making some headlines and taking the BCS to task. What is that matchup like for Arkansas. Does KSU have the horses to keep up? The Cowboys have a history of being great when it matters most, but in recent years, they’ve been snake bitten. Is the pressure of being America’s Team too much for the current Cowboys team in Dallas? Albert Pujols needs time to make a decision about where he wants to play. Should St. Louis just let him go and think about the future or spend the cash and keep one of the greatest players in franchise and baseball history? Today we talk about the broken BCS. They may have gotten it right this season in the Title game, but they got it wrong everywhere else. The BCS has turned simultaneous money-grabbing and creating bad matchups into a Zen-like thing. Tim Tebow continues to win and many don’t know why. I think it is very easy to explain. Arkansas gets back from their basketball field trip in Connecticut. Is Arkansas’ Cotton Bowl matchup a good or bad thing for the Razorbacks? Ben Kercheval of NBC Sports, Chris Bahn of Arkansas Sports 360 and Doug Farrar of Shutdown Corner all join the show to discuss today’s topics.

PODCAST: Arkansas’ Stringent Standard for winning a National Title, LSU-Bama deserve it, Tebow just wins

Today on the show we talk about the extraordinary standard for Arkansas to win the SEC and National Title. What other schools outside the SEC West have to live up to that standard? Beat LSU and Alabama, win the Championship game and hope other elite teams aren’t also undefeated. LSU and Alabama don’t even have to live up to that standard. But Arkansas has a lot coming back next season. Is it enough to topple the Everest peak Alabama and LSU currently sit atop? Denver’s defense keeps the games close so Tebow can get them the win late. The guy just wins and even John Elway is coming around now. Ndamukong Suh is a dirty player, but he’s the only one who doesn’t seem to know that. We talk with John Pennington of Mr.SEC.com and Wally Hall of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.

On today’s show we talk about the Lakers being swept by the Dallas Mavericks. (SHOCKER) The upcoming series between Boston and Miami should make for some interesting drama. The Feds are snooping around the NCAA and BCS, but not everyone agrees they have the right to. Is there a compromise in the future? Is Phil Jackson the greatest coach of all time at the end of his career? (alleged end of his career) Arkansas takes an impressive weekend series from Florida but it doesn’t help them in the SEC West rat race to make the SEC tournament. Johnathan Hutton of the Titans radio network comes on the show to talk about why the titans didn’t draft Ryan Mallett. Dave Shore of 710 ESPN in Los Angeles talks about the Lakers collapse and the Lakers future.

On today’s show we ask the question, is it better to be talked about as a bust pre-draft than not to be talked about at all? Some interesting numbers on Chicago in the 4th quarter so far in the first round of the playoffs. They might be the best finishing team in the NBA with Derrick Rose at the point. Jim Delany says “you’ll take the BCS and like it! Or we can go back to the way things were in the stone age.” Is this a legit threat or is it just more posturing and big-timing from the Big 10 Commissioner? Stewart Mandel of Sports Illustrated talks with us about Arkansas in the West next season and the future of the BCS.

On today’s show we talk about how much Ryan Mallett’s character actually matters. If you are an NFL GM, you have to ask two things before you get to character in my opinion. Do his teammates and coaches respect him? How much success did he have in college and can he duplicate it in the NFL? Does character matter if the answer to both of those questions is yes? Will this coming season be a year in which Arkansas can only progress or digress? There is no plateau possibility next season. How would you view and identical season to last year? two BCS losses? Is LA better when Kobe Bryant isn’t? Kobe got 11 last night and they won by 9, he shoots 50% and goes off in game one and they lose. Just saying. What is Peyton Manning’s value as a football player and what would his value be in an uncapped year with no franchise tag? And what does his value as a player say about how absurd the NFL owners’ argument is in labor negotiations? We talk with Chris Bahn, of Arkansas Sports 360 about expectations for next season and off season predictions.
